Although its most popular use is for picture backings in the picture framing industry, black kraft is also favored for gift, jewelry and electronics packaging as it is still as durable and tear-resistant as natural kraft paper while offering a more sophisticated and high end look.The glossy finish offers an optimal surface for printing. However, the dark color tends to skew the printing output making colors appear muted and faded. It is recommended to lay white ink before printing on black craft to maintain color vibrancy and consistency.
